Chesterton is participating in the Fun 2 Be Fit Program sponsored by the San Diego Padres baseball team.  The Padres ball club allocated funding to purchase the sports equipment for the program.  Every morning a grade level participates in a rotation of ten activities each lasting two minutes within a 30-minute time frame.  Volunteer parents help teachers manage stations.

 

We recognize the importance of children being physically active and therefore, beside a 15-minute recess break and playtime after eating lunch, one hour of physical education is offered to students in every classroom one day a week.
