John Paul Jones was built in the late 1950's. Jones is a single-track, year-round school located in Serra Mesa, California. Students from Cherokee Point, Edison and Hamilton schools are enrolled at this school through the Voluntary Ethnic Enrollment program (VEEP).

Our school offers a balanced curriculum to a diverse student population and is aligned with state adopted frameworks and guidelines. Students spend more that three hours a day engaged in literacy activities. English learners are provided instruction to increase their proficiency in English.

Jones has a Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) classes and Seminar classes to serve students in Grades 3-5 with high abilities and special talents.
