Join Parents Protecting Playgrounds
You can help ensure that the playground is safe and engaging by volunteering to supervise students at play. Duties are 40 minutes long, and supervision start times vary:
Kindergarten is at 11:45am
Grades 1-4 are at 11:55am
Volunteers must be TB tested and cleared by the SDUSD. Principal McClure will give a presentation to review student behavioral expectations, Silver Gate Elementary School discipline policy, and to give guidelines for appropriate interventions. Playground Volunteers will also help to distribute play equipment and supervise new games.
