100th Day of School Celebration/100% Attendance

On Friday, March 4th, Golden Hill K-8 School celebrated the 100th Day of School by encouraging all students to strive for 100% attendance on that day. Invitations and reminders were sent out to parents in advance, asking them to join us in the morning for coffee and our Family Friday literacy activity, as well as for our Fiesta Luncheon. The school campus was decorated with streamers, flags, and piñatas, and a DJ and our Golden Hill Eagle mascot helped to entertain the crowd. The students, staff, and parents enjoyed the Fiesta Luncheon sponsored by the Food Services Department, and the Parent Teacher Organization raffled prizes. We had over 100 guests on campus to join our celebration of the 100th Day of School. In addition, the counselor and Vice Principal visited all classrooms to award certificates and treats for students who had achieved perfect attendance for the previous month, as well as popcorn parties for all classrooms that had 100% students present. We reached 96% attendance and had 14 classrooms with perfect attendance! Contact Vice Principal Karina Reyes at 619-236-5600 for more information.
