![]() Meet Principal Jones
Our Principal, Stacy Jones, always says she has the best job in the world working with Miller’s spectacular children, families and staff. She has been the Principal at Miller since 2007. Interestingly, she finds herself full circle as she started at Miller over 30 years ago as a Teacher’s Assistant while attending San Diego State University. Her career has encompassed serving as an Upper Grade Teacher, Curriculum Resource Teacher, Staff Development Teacher, Vice Principal, District Leader of Student Services and Principal at four schools. Being a Principal is her favorite job because she spends each day ensuring that all students leave smarter than when they arrived.
She grew up in the Los Angeles area and moved to San Diego for college where she met her husband. They have 4 daughters, two grown; one is a teacher in San Diego Unified School District and one has a career in media in Tucson, Arizona. The other two are teenagers in high school and keep her personal life busy. Mrs. Jones loves shopping especially for shoes, reading good books and spending time with her girls.
Mrs. Jones values being an integral part of Miller students’ educational journey. She works hard to assure their time and experience at Miller is positive for them and their families. She loves to interact with the students in and out of the classroom. Mrs. Jones is easy to approach and maintains an open door policy. She believes Miller is a special place and feels honored and privileged to serve as the Principal. |
