Holmes Elementary School

Holmes PTA presents .......

We have art in our school, thanks to the efforts and talents of our Parent Teacher Association so all students can receive a well-rounded education and have a chance to expore the arts. Research shows that students exposed to the arts score higher in measures of student achievement as well as do better in school.

Donations Needed!

We now have an Art Supplies Donation Bin under a chair in the front office. Thanks you for your donation! It helps keep the PTA's student art supplies costs down!

We could use:
  • Metal soup cans - cleaned for rinsing paintbrushes.
  • Paper Towel and toilet paper rolls (for an upcoming paper mache animal project).
  • Yarn and or colored string (for an upcoming weaving project).
  • Mochi containers (these are ice cream trays that can be used for paint palettes).
  • Old kitchen sponges – please run through your dishwasher or laundry first.
  • Large White paper plates – *no plastic or Styrofoam please, these will be used for palettes. Used palettes will be dried and used to make a group art project at the end of the school year.
  • Fun Recycled Items – unused party favors, stickers, playing cards, missing game pieces, dice, faux flowers, ribbons, pipe cleaners... cool items that kids can could use in a collage project.
