Kate Sessions Elementary

On behalf of the Friends of Kate Sessions Parent Teacher Organization, welcome to the 2012-13 school year!

Friends of Kate Sessions (FOKS) is the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for Kate Sessions Elementary School.  We support our children's education by fostering relationships between the school, parents and teachers. FOKS provides opportunities for all parents to participate in their child's education.  FOKS meets the second Tuesday of each month in the teacher’s lounge or in the auditorium. Our meetings are open to everyone and we invite you to join in any time you can!!

Our Sessions PTO is made up of parents and teachers, so if you occupy either one of those roles for a Sessions student, you are automatically a member!!  We have a very active PTO with the mission to enhance the education of all Sessions students.  We work hard during the year to fulfill that mission.  For more information on Kate Sessions PTO check out the PTO website.

Over 500 independent studies on parent involvement show that when parents get involved in their children’s education, grades go up, test scores improve, children are more likely to attend better schools after high school, they have fewer discipline problems and they’re less likely to use drugs and alcohol.  Get involved TODAY!

We hope to see you at our first meeting of the year, Tuesday September 11th, 6:30 pm in the Sessions auditorium!  Free childcare is provided.

Get involved today!

Sincerely,

The 2012-13 FOKS Board
