School instruction is given and regular drills are held throughout the year to enable students to react to any emergency situation which might occur. Fire drills are held each month and disaster drills yearly. Bus evacuation drills are also included during the school year.

Our school Comprehensive Safety Plan includes drills for fire, safety, and disaster. In the event of an earthquake or other disaster, the school has a policy to follow. The safety of all students is our primary concern. All gates will be secured. If needed, a parent communication area has been identified at the lunch tables where children can be released to parents. Identification will be required.
