Volunteers Make the Difference
Research shows that when parents are actively involved with their child's education, student grades are higher, self-esteem is greater, and children are more socially adjusted. In addition to attending parent-teacher conferences and other special events, opportunities to get involved at our school abound.
There are plenty of chances to help without going into the classroom, such as working in the library media center, helping with picture-day, translating school newsletters, and more.
There are also many organizations that involve the parent and community perspective, such as our PTO (Friends of Pacific Beach Secondary Schools), our School Site Council, and more.
