Physical activity and sports are an important part of a student at Pacific Beach Middle. There are a wide range of activities and sports during school and after school. All onsite activities are FREE of charge. Families, organizations and local businesses can support our programs through involvement in our parent organization fundraisers. Visit. www.fobss.org to donate to our school sports programs.
 
***Students must maintain acceptable academic performance and behavior to be able to participate during lunchtime activities, after school sports or intra and inter-mural leagues.***
 
NOTE:  Late buses available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
 

During lunch-time the following co-ed activities take place:

  • 5 v 5 flag football (1st season)
  • 5 v 5 futsal (2nd season)
  • 9 v 9 soccer and baseball (3rd season)

Students create their own team. At the end of each season, the team that wins the championship is displayed on the wall of fame in the locker room.

 

After school activities intra-murals include:

 

Boys/Girls flag football (Thursday during September)

Girls volleyball (Mondays and Wednesdays from September to November)
Girls soccer (Tuesdays from December to February)
Boys/Girls basketball (Monday and Wednesdays from January to March)
Boys/Girls futsal (Thursdays)
Boys/Girls tennis (Tuesdays from September to December)
Girls lacrosse
 
Inter-murals: students compete outside school against other schools or participate on leagues.

Girls freshmen team soccer play against other high schools

Boys/Girls basketball play in the YMCA league

Boys soccer play in the YMCA league

 

Activities and sports are events that will help student's aspire to be risk-takers, communicators, caring, open-minded, balanced, inquirers, reflective, knowledgeable, and thinkers.
