Who we are: We are a Parent Teacher Organization for both Pacific Beach Middle School and Mission Bay High School, as well as a registered non-profit tax-exempt organization (501c3 education organization). Our board consists of teachers, principals and parents from both schools.
What we do: Our goal is to assist the school in the following ways:raise money for projects and programs, coordinate and fund enrichment opportunities for PBMS students, provide parent volunteers, help facilitate good communications, and plan events that encourage families to be connected as a school community.
How we help students and families: The FOPBSS/ PTO will communicate with you in a number of ways through the school year: “PTO Corner” in PBMS WAVE publication, PBMS Informational Marquee, PBMS web site, and flyers sent home via your student.

When does the group meet? The board invites any parent or guardian of MBHS or PBMS students to attend monthly meetings.Come and find out first hand what’s happening at PBMS and how you can get involved. We meet alternately between PBMS and MBHS Media Centers. We are a welcoming group so come join us.

Pacific Beach Middle School:
Funded 100% of after school choir teacher
Purchased books, magazines and games to expand library inventory
Purchased math department curriculum enrichment flash cards.
Purchased animal parts for science class experiment
Funded Red Ribbon Week activities
Underwrote successful 4rd Annual Missoula Children's Theatre performance – Wizard of Oz
Purchased wireless handheld system to improve communication for PE department
Purchased student incentives for student participation in international service project
Hosted ice cream party to honor students who satisfied or exceeded community service requirements.
Contributed to funding of registration & travel fees for PBMS band competition in Orange County – Gold medal winners!

Invited all elementary school students in PB to audition for Missoula Theatre program to promote PB cluster unification.
