Welcome to Hardy Elementary School! We are located next to San Diego 

State University and enjoy a strong partnership with the university. Hardy is 

an innovative elementary school with rich traditions in academic excellence, 

character development, artistic expression, physical fitness, and parent 

involvement. 

Our mission is to collaborate as a team—principal, staff, students, parents, 

and community members—in developing in our students the academic, 

social, physical, and character skills needed for a successful life. We seek to 

foster the love of learning, instill a strong sense of perseverance, and build 

an ever-expanding pool of strategies to maximize each student’s potential. 

 

Hardy is part of the Henry High School Cluster, a collaborative organization 

of area principals, school staff members, and parents united to build 

purposeful partnerships in pursuit of academic excellence. Our strong ties to 

the middle schools in the area as well as to Patrick Henry High School help 

to ensure that our students have a cohesive educational experience from 

kindergarten through grade 12 that prepares them at the highest levels for 

college and career.
