Meet Mrs. Marin
Dear Parents and Families of Paradise Hills,
Welcome to the new school year! I am Mrs. Marin, the principal of Paradise Hills Elementary, and proud to be starting my second year at this marvelous school. I am so excited to see all the students and their families again. I also want to welcome all of our new families to Paradise Hills.
The start of the school year always brings a thrill and there has been noticeable buzz around classrooms over the last few weeks, as teachers and staff have dedicated their time to create room environments that are welcoming for children. We are so excited about the new writing curriculum that we will be using this year. It is tied to the new Common Core standards that will be expected of all students across the country by the year 2014-2015. We will also start a new intervention program that will support students when they are having difficulty in school. For those students who are excelling in one or many areas of their academics, we continue to develop enrichment opportunities.
As parents, you are a key component in the partnership that ensures that all Paradise Hills students receive a high-quality education. I look forward to working together to foster and strengthen those bonds over the coming school year. I encourage you to participate in school activities and special events, and if your schedule allows, to volunteer in your child’s classroom. If you have any questions or ideas, please feel free to contact me at (619) 344-5200 or email me at mmarin@sandi.net. I will respond as quickly as possible to your questions, comments, concerns, and suggestions.
I want to personally invite you to our first Family Friday on September 14th at 2:30 p.m. in our auditorium. After we meet you will be able to join your children in their classrooms from 3:00-3:35. Until then, I extend best wishes for a successful and rewarding school year at Paradise Hills!
Sincerely,
Marisol Marin
Principal
