SERVICES AVAILABLE

 

Psychological Assessment/Evaluation

  • Assess for program planning, curricular strategies, behavioral and academic interventions, and special education services.
  • Determine social-emotional development and mental health status.
  • Assessments/evaluations generally originate from a Student Study Team (SST) referral; parent requests are also considered through our RTI/SST process.

Prevention

  • Promote tolerance, understanding, and appreciation of diversity within the school community.
  • Develop programs to make schools safer and more effective learning environments.

Consultation

  • Consultation services by developing partnerships with staff, parents, and students to provide intervention ideas, problem solving techniques, social-emotional, academic, and behavior support, supply community referrals, and assist in improving the affective climate in the classroom and school.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to find effective solutions to learning and behavior problems.
  • Collaborate with school staff and community agencies to provide services directed at improving psychological and physical health. 

Intervention

  • Work directly with children and their families to help resolve problems in adjustment and learning.
  • Provide psychological counseling to help resolve interpersonal or family problems that interfere with school performance. Counseling services (crisis counseling and short-term individual/group counseling). Help manage crises, such as death, illness, or community trauma.
  • Provide referrals/resources for child and family counseling in the community.
