About Me:

I was born in San Diego and grew up in the Rolando community. I attended the neighborhood schools of Clay Elementary, Horace Mann Jr. High, and Crawford High School. These schools afforded me the opportunities to interact and bond with people from diverse backgrounds. As a teacher, this experience is invaluable due to the populations we serve.

I am married to a wonderful woman who I have shared many of the experiences that life gives you since we were 20 years old. We now have a beautiful daughter who brings laughter and joy to us everyday. We are experiencing the complexity involved in raising a child in a technologically advanced, multicultural society.

I have a brother who is a dentist and a sister who is a lawyer. My brother lives in northern California with his two daughters. My sister lives in Los Angeles and travels a lot due to her work.

Interests and Activities

I enjoy most activities that involve the ocean. My favorite activities are sailing and surfing. Luckily, I have friend who has a classic wooden boat (PCC) who often invites me to sail with him.
