Transitional KindergartenThe Transitional Kindergarten program was required under a 2010 state law that changes the cut-off date for when students are eligible to enter kindergarten. Parents will have the option of enrolling their child at any one of the sites listed below with the understanding that they will return to their school of residence for the 2nd year of kindergarten or may apply to remain through the Enrollment Options Process.
Where do children go this Fall 2012?Transitional KindergartenStudents who turn 5 on November 2, 2012 and before December 2, 2012 may choose to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten. PreschoolStudents who turn 5 after December 2, 2012 may choose to enroll in preschool. KindergartenStudents who turn 5 on or before November 1, 2012 may choose to enroll in Kindergarten.
