Our Campus and Facilities
Built in 1997, Kimbrough Elementary is in excellent overall condition. Its appearance is pleasing and well-groomed . The school opened with grades K–6 in September of 1997, but as a result of overcrowding, grade 6 was eliminated after the end of Kimbrough's second school year. We have a current enrollment of 545 students in grades Pre-K to 5th, but the school has the capacity to accommodate up to 1,200 students.
The Williams Act of 2004 requires our school to be inspected annually by county personnel to make sure it is being well maintained. Each year, our reports have been excellent.
All students, parents, staff members, and community partners are proud of their school and work to keep it safe and clean. Over the course of the school year, parents organize clean-ups around the perimeter of the school campus. Classrooms volunteer on a monthly basis to keep our school litter-free. Students are also involved in garden projects throughout the school year that are supervised by the Primetime after-school staff. These activities are posted on our Campus Beautification bulletin board. The most recently completed school-site inspection determined that the facility was in a good-repair status.
