GEAR UP to College Avenue Compact

GEAR UP to College Avenue Compact  is federally funded by a grant from the  U.S. Department of Education and is conducted under the San Diego State University Research Foundation and the City Heights Educational Collaborative. GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. The program strives to engage students, involve parents and support school teachers and staff to cultivate a “college going culture” for every student.

This year,  GEAR UP will be working with our incoming 9th graders from Monroe Clark and Wilson Middle School and the Class of 2016.  Students will continue to receive academic guidance services now that they are at Hoover High School.
