About the Character Education
EBS was founded on the philosophy of educating the whole child's heart and mind.
Volunteers access our EBS Character Education website, which has easy-to-follow lesson plans. Volunteers spend about 30 minutes per month in the classroom leading a discussion, reading a book, role playing, or even doing skits and puppet shows that relate to each month's character trait. Each classroom needs one or two volunteers, as this is a job that can be shared. The EBS Character Education program holds a yearly Thanksgiving food drive, sponsors special school assemblies and partners with the non-profit charity, Friends and Family Community Connection.
