Many of Euclid's parents, guardians and community members volunteer as tutors, including local college students. Euclid students receive help from tutors and student teachers from the University of California-San Diego, University of San Diego, Mesa College and Madison High School.

Our students receive additional help each week from Everyone a Reader tutors. For more information or to get involved, please contact the school office at (619) 282-2192

Everyone a Reader Volunteer Tutor Program

This program assists children experiencing difficulty in learning to read. Volunteers receive three hours of training in Reading Recovery strategies and are asked to volunteer one day a week for one hour. Each tutor is matched with four students reading below grade level. Each of the four students receives a 15-minute one-on-one tutoring session with the volunteer. The program was developed experts at the San Diego County Office of Education. For information, call (800) 711-READ or see Everyone a Reader Volunteer Tutor Program.
