In our continued effort to be #1 in overall school attendance and to recuperate funds lost to the school district via absences Lewis MIddle School holds Saturday School. Students who attend Saturday School will have one full day absence AND 4 tardies removed from their attendance record in addition to having a chance to get caught up on missing assignments. Saturday School teachers follow the schedule below and make every attempt to create a fun environment for your student.

 

 

7:50- 8:00 Student drop off in front of the auditorium. 

 

8-9 Students access their online progress report page and work on missing or upcoming assignments. 

 

9-10 Students work on math. They are given the opportunity to work on Accelerated Math, Learning Upgrade or an approved math game site.

 

10-11 Students and teacher participate in some physical activity, examples include yoga, rugby and basketball.

 

11-12 Students read a book of their choice and have an opportunity to get caught up on reading logs for the following week.
