Greetings:
Welcome to Horace Mann Middle School. We are located in the 43rd hundred block of 54th Street. Our school is home to approximately 1000 students from countries all over the world. There are twenty three languages spoken at Horace Mann Middle School. As we celebrate our diversity, we also ensure that we continue to strengthen English Language Learning opportunities for all students.
We currently pride ourselves in the our elective programs and extra-curricular activities offered through our PrimeTime program. This year, we established a music program that will foster a culture of appreciation for the Arts in our young students. We also offer an Engineering based elective that is designed to help students see the Math subject differently. During this course, students are exposed to very sophisticated ideas of design and implementation. They are also challenged to enhance their creativity by applying new learning to concepts of engineering and design.
Our staff is made up of approximately sixty highly qualified educators who take great pride in our students. We offer a very rigorous academic program. Many of our staff members go above and beyond, to ensure that our students develop their young minds by providing multiple opportunities and environments for students to learn and deepen their understanding of what it means to be successful.
