Possible School Closures 2012

We are receiving many calls from neighborhood parents regarding a possible local school closing.

 

A definite choice for school closure has not yet been made by the Board for our area. At this point, the Enrollment Options’ CHOICE program will be open from November 1, 2011 to February 15, 2012.

 

Sandy Robles, Enrollment Options Manager, has reminded us that “Nothing will be final until the board approves it." Her department has been advised that “Everyone that lives in the boundary of a school that closes will have a new neighborhood school that they can attend.  Additionally, as much as possible we will work with the families affected by the closure to provide options that will work for their families.”

We hope to have more direction in January 2012. Meanwhile, the most current information, along with a calendar, will be posted on the District’s website under “Realignment” on an ongoing basis at http://www.sandi.net/realignment.
