I am a native of San Diego. I attended Adams Elementary, Wilson Jr. High, and Hoover High school. I love to surf local beaches. I have four children and two grandchildren. All of my children attended San Diego Unified School District schools. I enjoy reading, writing, music, technology, fitness activities, and helping out with the grandchildren. I am interested in nutrition and health.

I have been employed with San Diego Unified School District since 1976. I have served as an instructional aide, bilingual AB1331 State Pre-Kindergarten teacher, and primary bilingual elementary teacher in schools across the district. I have also served as Staff Developer/Peer Coach, working with colleagues in developing the strongest teaching strategies in Literacy; and as the Facilitator for the Success for All reading program, here at Cubberley.
