We have listed a routine that each student can follow in their planner and make a check for completion.
Daily Student Home Routine
Write definitions in Vocabulary Word Study book of the Content Vocabulary words for the week. (Math, Science, Social Studies, and Health)
Make study aids to help remember the definitions.
Study definitions for quiz on Fridays.
Read 25-30 minutes and initial in planner. Write a response to reading or a summary of the chapters read for the day. Build up to 40 minutes or more
Complete Math Topic page front and back.
Complete incomplete classwork and return it.
Work on Math Facts: Addition/ Subtraction, Division/Multiplication to 12.
Keyboarding to help with typing documents in class.
Practice Cursive writing for assignments not typed.

Real life Math problem Solving (Cooking, baking, building, designing, help planning an event, money, grocery shop, etc.)
Real writing skills (Write a letter to family member, thank you notes, start a continuous story, make cards to give for birthdays, special occasions, etc.)
Real social studies ( Visit Julian where gold was mined, Campo and ride a steam engine train, Cabrillo national monument, Old Lighthouse, visit museums in Balboa Park, walk Mission Trails Park, explore the top of Colwes mountain and identify landmarks overlooking San Diego, explore Old Town, visit the Mission de Alacala, USS Midway, and many others, etc.)
Real Science skills ( Explore your backyard and Identify the rock cycle, find types of rocks, gems, landforms, erosion, etc.)
