We are freeway-close in historic Old Town. Our center was founded in 1995 and named for dedicated volunteer Harold J. Ballard, a testament to the importance in our district of parent outreach and engagement. We offer:
As President Barack Obama has said, "In the end, there is no program or policy that can substitute for a parent...Responsibility for our children's education must begin at home." The federal government invests in our work to strengthen family involvement. We receive funding through Title I, the federal program providing added resources to schools needing help closing the achievement gap.
