Overview
The Office of Resource Development (ORD) is committed to enhancing student achievement and supporting teachers in the classroom by securing resources from a variety of funding agencies including Federal, State and private sources. The Grants Office, Mandated Cost Unit and Pupil Accounting Department are divisions of the Office of Resource Development.
- Grants Office
- Research and distribute grant opportunities to district personnel
- Provide assistance for grant procedures and requirements
- Facilitate grant planning and grant writing workshops for district staff
- Network with community leaders and funding agencies to leverage resources supporting district programs and initiatives
- Develop and submit Consolidated Application for the California Department of Education
- Mandated Cost Unit
- Review legislation and regulations impacting the district for potential reimbursable state-mandated programs.
- File reimbursement and “test” claims.
- Represent the district at hearings before the Commission on State Mandates.
- Collect and compile cost data for the filing of annual reimbursement claims.
- Train district staff on mandated cost reimbursement procedures.
- Pupil Accounting Department
- Calculate and report Average Daily Attendance (ADA) to the State for the district.
- Publish monthly Active Enrollment by Grade reports.
- Conduct school site audits for ADA compliance.
- Monitor compliance of class size reduction, K-3 and grade 9, and report data to the State.
- Train district staff on attendance and enrollment procedures.
