The Teacher Preparation and Student Support (TP+SS) Division is comprised of two components: Teacher Preparation Programs and Extended Learning Opportunities.
Teacher Preparation Programs
The major functions of Teacher Preparation Programs are to recruit, prepare and retain highly qualified teachers through a system of one-on-one support and professional development. Programs include:
- Future Educators of America (FEA) Clubs
- Student Teaching Program
- Alternative Certification Programs
- Induction Program
- National Board Certification
- Peer Assistance and Review (PAR)

Extended Learning Opportunities
The major functions of Extended Learning Opportunities are to provide additional learning and academic supports and programs outside of the traditional school day, week or year, for both students and families. Programs include:
- Extended Day & Year Programs
- 6-to-6 Program
- No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Supplemental Educational Services
- Community-Based English Tutoring (CBET)
- Mt. Everest Academy (home schooling support)
