Overview
On February 27, 2007, the Board of Education approved the creation of the Physical Plant Operations Division; as a result, an Operations Task Force was created to oversee further study of the recommendations from the analysis of the Districts Physical Plant Operations.
The Physical Plant Operations (PPO) Task Force is empowered to create Performance Teams to study specific recommendations. The PPO Task Force and Performance Teams are district-level committees made up of a wide-range of experienced district staff and labor union representatives. The work of the Performance Teams will enable a quarterly briefing to the Superintendent and Board of Education on the progress and implementation process of the reorganization.
Performance Teams will play a key role in providing leadership in this necessary and important organizational change process. The goal for the Performance Teams, based on assigned topics, is to review, analyze and make recommendations as assigned by the Task Force for specific recommended areas or specialized areas of interest as outlined in The Portolan Group, Inc. Study. Performance Teams are created on an as needed basis.

Meetings are usually held at: Physical Plant Operations Complex, Training Room A, 4860 Ruffner Street, San Diego, CA 92111, unless otherwise posted.

Meeting Schedule and Information
PPO Task Force meetings are usually held on a bi-monthly basis on Thursdays and times are normally from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted.
