Mentors are a critical component of our Academy.
Mentors are adults who are willing to share their experiences and support students as they explore and work toward their career goals.

Mentor Requirements:
A desire to make a difference in a student's life
4 one-hour mentor student meetings
1 student visit to your workplace
Background check and TB clearance
Monthly email exchanges with student
Mentor orientation

Steps to becoming a Green Engineering Mentor:
Mentor Application and Profile.
Volunteer Paperwork. All mentors will have access to minor students and must have a background check performed prior to beginning your mentorship.Mentor Orientation. All mentors must attend an in-person orientation at San Diego High.
Mentor-Student Pairings. Students are paired with mentors based on the information provided on interest forms.
