Music Program Our Musical Heritage All students from Kindergarten through fifth grade have general music class with Mrs. Park once a week. Students listen and learn about a variety of musical styles - classical, world, folk, and jazz, just to name a few. They may even learn how to play a woodwind instrument called a recorder. Fourth and fifth grade students may elect to take band or an orchestra instrument. Students who enroll in the program will need to rent or borrow an instrument.
