Welcome to the Bay Park Library
Robert Lewis Stevenson created Treasure Island on a whim
on the request of his stepson. Upon drawing a treasure map for his
stepson he then was begged to create stories to go along with the
map. His stepson and he enjoyed these stories so much that he made
them into the book, Treasure Island.
A place of wonder, a place of fact, a
place of fiction, a place where imagination runs wild.
A library is more than a building of
books. It is a collection of literature and art, a place where
imagination and ideas come alive, where art breathes life into
literature and literature breathes life into art.
