Rooms 25 and 26 PROGRAM

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Students are grouped into a small community in order to promote school spirit 

and foster mutual respect and support.  Interdisciplinary teams of teachers, 

who share common students and schedules, are key to the program.  Each student 

will have a pocket folder for each subject area (Language Arts, Social Studies,

Science and Math).  The student will take the pocket folder to each class and home.

GOALS

The Rooms 25 and 26 teaching team offers a program which:

1.  fosters a sense of responsibility to self and

2.  encourages a commitment to excellence;

3.  addresses student diversity by utilizing a variety of learning

 styles;

4.  promotes creative thinking, decision making and risk taking;

5.  develops written and oral communication in all subject areas;

6.  provides a foundation of essential skills.

The teachers in fifth grade are trying to create a stronger home and school connection by creating grade level website.  With this site we are hoping to help keep parents and students better informed about fifth grade activities and assignments.  We are new at creating a grade level website and we would like your input on how we can help make this site work at its full potential.
