Balboa Parents visit USD!
Thanks to the Bravo Foundation all of Balboa Elementary School families were invited to attend two university field trips. Parents were able to tour UC San Diego and University of San Diego. They received a presentation and a school tour. They learned about the differences between public and private college institutions and what to monitor to ensure that their child is a college bound student.
Balboa Principal Wins Award!
Our principal, Fabiola Bagula, was the recipient of the 2013 San Diego Cesar E Chavez Commemoration Committee Visionary Award. The certificate commends her for her strong leadership, compassion, integrity and justice in the community. The award was presented at the 15th Annual Cesar Chavez Community Breakfast on April 8 at the Hilton Bayfront.
