Congressman Bob Filner came to visit the Met on April 11, 2012. He was introduced to Mrs. Mildred Phillips (Principal), Jill Badger (Internship Coordinator and Dean Wong (Dean of Students). He spent over an hour discussing his views on the current local education situation, his emergence into the civil rights movement and politics. Met students were able to share the way the vision and culture of the Met has shaped their educational achievements at school, at their internships and in their concurrent college classes. A few students have been inspired to seek a volunteer position in this upcoming political campaign.
