San Diego Unified IB Programs

San Diego Unified School District proudly offers two continuums, both of which form a coherent sequence for K-12 International Baccalaureate education.

Primary Years Program (PYP), for ages 3 - 12 Focus on the development of the whole child in the classroom and in the world outside.	Kate Sessions Elementary School (K-5)	Alice Birney Elementary (K-5)

	Continuum 1 (Mission Bay High Cluster)	Continuum 2 (San Diego High Cluster)
Middle Years Program (MYP), for ages 11 - 16 Provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills, achieved through embracing and transcending traditional school subjects.	Pacific Beach Middle (6-8)	Roosevelt Middle (6-8)

Diploma Program (DP), for ages 16 - 19 Demanding two-year curriculum leading to final examinations and a qualification that is welcomed by leading universities around the world.	Mission Bay High School (9-12)	San Diego High School (9-12)

Becoming an authorized IB School is an intensive process that typically takes two or more years and includes site visits by a team from the IB Organization. The schools above have been authorized and continue to be under evaluation on a regular basis.
