Kindergarten Carrot Project - Mrs. Wilson's Class K-1
Mrs. Wilson Kindergarten Class began the year planting raddish and carrot seeds.
The students watch in amazement as the seeds they planted sprouted and grew.
Harvest time was great fun as the children reached into the planter grabbed the stem and Pulled - out popped a "Carrot."
There were lots of Wows! Huge smiles and Great delight and the resulting Carrot firmly in hand. Who knew vegetables could be so much FUN! Everybody wanted to pull another.
After cleaning the carrots, the students began a detailed observation. What is a carrot? The students determined it was the root.
