Important Information for Seniors 2014

Graduation Practice and the End of the School Year

Graduation Practice will be held during period 1 on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.  All seniors must check in with their counselor, in the gym, by 8:45 am.  At the conclusion of the graduation practice, early grads will be released, and all other seniors will be dismissed to their period 2 class.  Seniors will follow their regular schedule for the remainder of the school day.

June 4                   Blood Drive- This is the final blood drive of the year.  The blood drive will be held from 8:30am-2:00pm, in the Dance Room.  Make a difference and save a life.

June 4                   DMD Senior Awards Night- DMD will be hosting their Senior Awards at 5:30pm at the Flood Church Office located at 3878 Ruffin Road.

June 5                   Cap and Gown Distribution- Cap and Gowns will be distributed at lunch in front of the dance room.

June 5                   CTA Senior Awards Night- CTA will be hosting their Senior Awards at 5:30pm at the Flood Church Office located at 3878 Ruffin Road.

June 11                  Senior Breakfast/Graduation Practice 8:45am-10:14am- Seniors check in with their counselors in the gym and enjoy a continental breakfast while waiting for graduation practice to begin.

June 12                 Graduation- San Diego Concourse - Golden Hall, 202 C Street, San Diego, CA 92101 @ 5:30 pm.  Check-in with counselors by 4:00 pm.

 
          • Seniors do not report to school on Thursday, June 12th.  Attendance will be taken at Golden Hall (to the west of the box office) at 4:00 PM.
          • Do not bring any personal items including cameras, balloons, flowers, purses, etc.  There will not be anywhere to store these when you arrive.
          • Graduates need to be dressed appropriately.  High heels are not recommended.  Flip flops are not appropriate footwear is required.
          • Gowns should be wrinkle free for graduation. Do not iron them. To eliminate wrinkles, gowns should be "fluff" dried and hung up prior to graduation.
          • No air horns or noisemakers are allowed at the graduation.
          • This is a first-come, first-serve venue (no ticket entry required).  Guests should plan to arrive early and be seated by 5:15 PM.  The procession will begin at 5:30 PM SHARP.  Once the procession starts, late comers will wait outside until all graduates are seated.
          • Diplomas will be distributed on Friday, June 13th.  This is a regular minimum day schedule school day for all students.  Seniors should report to the auditorium at 8:45 AM.  Diplomas will only be released to the graduate.

 

June 13                 Last day of School – This is a regular minimum day schedule school day for all students.  All seniors can pick up their diploma in the auditorium between 8:45am and 9:45am.
