Welcome to Bayview Terrace Elementary School. We are located in the eastern portion of the Pacific Beach, Calif. community. We are a small, close-knit school welcoming all families. We are proud of our dedicated and experienced teachers, outstanding students and supportive families.
We are passionate about preparing our students for the 21st century with a strong science focus in our Pre K-5 curriculum, specifically earth, physical and life sciences. All Bayview Terrace students experience inquiry-based interactive learning across the curriculum, engaging in critical thinking, creativity and collaboration. Science is a vital part of this learning, providing hands-on opportunities for science exploration.
Other very important academic goals include: using common assessments to determine the needs of our children, providing explicit instruction to support all students in becoming proficient in literacy, math and science, providing engaging and differentiated instructional strategies across the curriculum, incorporating technology into instruction, and engaging staff in professional learning communities. It is our mission to ensure that Bayview Terrace students become literate to their fullest potential, and possess the necessary knowledge, skills, confidence, and enthusiasm to become lifelong learners and to access the career pathways of their choice. Bayview Terrace is preparing curious, creative, collaborative and critical thinkers for the 21st century.
