Hire-A-Youth Summer Internship Program

Career Exploration - One Step Further
San Diego Unified School District will not receive funding to conduct a Hire-A-Youth Program this summer. The funding that was used for the program the last two summers from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (part of the Federal Stimulus Package) has ended.

However, at this time, there is a small amount of funding from other sources available for the 2011 Summer Hire-A-Youth Program. This program will be managed by the San Diego Workforce Partnership and Eastridge Staffing Group. Students who wish to participate in this program will work directly with Eastridge for all aspects of the program including application, qualification, training and placement. Due to the limited funding, students interested in participating will be put on a waiting list and placement within the program is not guaranteed.
