Construction Tech Academy is a small school-within-a-school located at Kearny High Educational Complex.  It opened in September 2002 with its first class of 120 ninth graders.  Conceived by a group of business, industry, labor, and community members, Construction Tech Academy is designed to immerse students in a rigorous learning environment that captures student interest in engineering, architecture, and construction related careers.

 

CTA offers a complete program of academics and project-based learning activities preparing students for any college, apprenticeship program, or a career.

 

The Academy features state-of-the-art equipment and technology and is housed in remodeled facilities as a part of the Kearny High Educational Complex.
