    Try-outs for Powder Puff will be Monday, November 3rd at 3:00, Standley Park. Permission slips will be due at that time. If you did not receive one, they are available online at www.UCHSASB.com (D. Fallon)

    The UCHS Field Hockey team defeated Clairemont High School on Wednesday, 4-0. The Centurions are now 2-1 in conference play and will take on Morse HS on Monday the 3rd, 3:00 home game. Come out and support the girls for the last home game of the season! There will be a special presentation for the Senior girls after the game. Hope to see you there! (B.Josten)

    With Halloween just around the corner, send a spooky “Boo-Gram” to your friends for just $1! Support UC Cheer by buying one of these in front of the Media Center at lunch today and Thursday. They will be delivered to Per. 4 classes on Halloween. (M. Keller)

    Students: The Nov. 6 Blood Drive is coming up quick! There will be a table today at lunch outside of Attendance for you to submit your permission slip-which you can get from your English teacher, front office or Rm. 202- and set up your appointment. 16-year olds must have the yellow permission slip filled out in order to donate. The first 15 students to sign up will receive a prize! Please help us reach our collection goal! (D.Fallon)

Bring picnic supplies and everyone you know. Friday is Solutions to Bullying Day-your Per. 4 teachers will supply materials. Bring your solutions to the table at lunch to win a prize.     Recruiting Realities, an educational program for student-athletes and their families, will be at the UCHS Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 16th, 7:00-8 pm. Please come hear motivational speaker Jack Renkens present this entertaining,  information-packed presentation. (M. McLaughlin)

    Are you about that sharp life? Drill Dance tryouts will be Oct. 13-17th, 2:30-4:30, outside the Activity Room. Please arrive in practice wear and have your hair tied up. (D. Fallon)

    UC Pals is asking students and staff to submit blurbs about relatives that have fought cancer. Regardless of their success in battle, we would like to recognize these brave people for the month of October, which is Cancer Awareness Month. Please submit their name, type of cancer, and a little bit about them. Include an optional photo if possible to Mr. Paredes, Ms. Barnier, or other UC Pals. (M. Barnier)
