All students are required to hand in a practice log every week. Students must practice 100 minutes per week. They should be practicing everything we do in class during the week. Each practice log needs to have the following information: the date, the amount of time practiced, parent signature and student name. Even if the student has not practiced 100 minutes in a week, they should record the amount of time they have practiced and hand it in anyway. After all, partial credit is better than no credit. Practice logs are due the first day of every week. They will not be accepted all at once at the end of the grading period. There are six weeks per grading period therefore there are six practice logs due per grading period. If a student hands in all six practice logs, their grade will start at an A. If they only hand in five they will start with an A-. Four- B+, three- B, two- B-, one- C+ and if a student hands in zero practice logs their grade will start at a C. As long as the required information is included on the practice log, (time practiced, date, parent signature, student name) a practice log can be handed in on any piece of paper. Students are encouraged to create their own practice logs. However, my practice logs can also be used. Click on the link to download a .pdf of my practice log.
