A proud moment for the Patrick Henry Patriots just happened. For only the 2nd time in recent times, Patrick Henry high school has the best high school football player in the City League. Cruz has been named "City League Player of the YEAR." He joins Ricky Williams as a  "City League Player of the YEAR" award winner to play for the Patriots.
Cruz passed for over 1,900 yards and 22 TD's this season, and ran for another 360 yards with 5 rushing TD's. He was a great leader, and teammate. Please make sure you congratulate him on this award. This is a proud moment for Patrick Henry athletic program. A long time coming...

Congratulations to Joey Schindler for being selected for Boys State winner.  American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high school students. A participatory program in which students become part of the operation of local, county and state government, Boys State was founded in 1935 to counter the socialism-inspired Young Pioneer Camps.

At Boys State, participants learn the rights, privileges and responsibilities of franchised citizens. The training is objective and centers on the structure of city, county and state governments.

Legion posts select high school juniors to attend the program. Joey Schindler was selected to from Patrick Henry high to attend Boys State in Sacramento this summer and we are proud to have him represent Patrick Henry!
