Physical Plant Operations

Physical Plant Operations (PPO) manages the maintenance planning and repair of the District's inventory of buildings; this inventory includes 14.8 million square feet of buildings situated on 2,600 acres of developed property.

The following departments are included in PPO: Facilities Planning, Maintenance Services, Custodial Services, Landscape, and Integrated Pest Management. Our responsibilities cover all fixed assets within the District's property line: parking lots, lunch courts, playgrounds, underground water and sewer systems, electrical systems, communication systems, and of course, the structure itself.  Each of these departments can be reached by calling PPO reception at (858) 627-7171.

When making a work request, sites are encouraged to use the iService Desk at pposervices.sandi.net to create the request and track the status. Here are instructions how to make a request and how to conduct a query within the iService Desk.  When there is an emergency during business hours, call the Work Order Desk at (858) 627-7250.  For emergencies after hours, call School Police at (619) 291-7678.

All sites fall into a geographical zone: Coastal Bay, Scripps Mesa, Central City and Park View. Each Zone has a Manager and Supervisor and a staff to manage the work in that Zone. To determine which zone your site is in, and who to contact, refer to the Zone Management List.
