Walt Whitman Elementary School is located in north Clairemont, a quiet neighborhood of single family houses and apartments near the Clairemont Square Shopping Center. Our school provides a happy, safe, nurturing, artistic, and academically challenging environment for children.  Whitman is known for its academic excellence, as well as its enhanced art and music programs. Our mission is to improve student achievement by supporting teaching and learning in the classroom and to prepare them for success in an ever changing academic, professional, and technological world.
