Salim Ali Nakhjavani Graduated from Champlain Regional College, Canada, in 1997
"The integrated IB curriculum has played a fundamental and unforgettable role in my education, in preparation for undergraduate and graduate studies in law, and in my early professional life at the office of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. The capacity to think critically, developed across academic disciplines, from theatre to calculus, is a key benefit of the IB, and has been of central importance to me in maintaining a well-balanced and fruitful academic life. The other skills I developed as an IB student – the ability to plan and execute complex projects, manage competing demands and meet pressing deadlines – are essential in my current professional life.
Most of all, though, and beyond any mere intellectual benefit it has, the IB inculcates a true ethic of world citizenship, not as a naive ideal, not simply as an object of study, but as a living paradigm to explore."
