About Me:
I hold a BA in Secondary Education with a major in Biology from Idaho State University and a MA in Teaching with an Educational Technology specialization from National University. I have been teaching 7th Grade Life Science at Marston for the past eight years. The first four years of my teaching career were spent providing science enrichment for grades K-5. All eleven years of teaching have been with San Diego City Schools.  I chose teaching as a career so that I could share my passion towards Biology and to prepare future generations to be scientifically literate in order to make important decisions for this increasingly global society.

I thoroughly enjoy any activity that keeps the family outdoors--hiking, biking, downhill skiing, water skiing, camping, and backpacking. I also enjoy being "crafty"--scrapbooking, knitting, quilting, and painting.
